Hello!

I’m Saphia. I’m a firm believer in trying to live every moment to the fullest.

I’m so grateful to have found my creative passions; on TV, in print, and in support of organizations creating lasting change! I’m also thankful to be able to balance these pursuits by enjoying time at home with my husband and three young kids.

“Whether it’s journalism like one-on-one interviews with greats like Aretha Franklin and national TV sports coverage, or tracing my family’s refugee roots in East Africa and promoting charitable endeavours, I’m all about using my voice to create a positive platform.”

There’s more I’d love to share with you!

ON TV

My TV career has taken me all across Ontario as a videographer, trekking through East Africa shooting documentary footage, yelling alongside throngs of footie fans for the World Cup, and onto the edge of crime scenes as a news reporter. You can learn all about my current work for The Weather Network on my media page.

ON THE BANDSTAND

I believe there is great power in coming together to create change. I’m honoured to lend my voice to many charitable groups, including acting as a spokesperson for Parkinson Canada. Read more about it on my organization page.

IN PRINT

It’s a good bet that while my kids are napping at home, I’m probably writing. Take a deeper dive into my exploration of my family’s journey from Africa to Canada, my hopes for future generations, and my climate and environment articles on my author page.
